The NBC website has not added videos from their newer shows yet. There was a really funny skit when Amy Adams was the host. I will see if I can find it. Until then, here is a funny one from Andy Samberg. I have to tell you it is a bit controversial. He raps about the Iranian president. There was a lot of talk when he was invited to speak at Columbia University in NYC. Personally, I think it was totally bogus he even got invited to America in the first place. Anywho. Here is Andy's song about him. Even Adam Levine from Maroon 5 gets in on it. So funny.

pinching your pennies

I hate to admit this but I'm really horrible when it comes to grocery shopping. I do look for sales but I have never been one to clip coupons and try to get the most out of my money. I usually make a list, get what I need and hope some of it is for a good price. Well, my cousin has introduced me to this website and clued me in on how to truly save money when shopping. I'm hooked! It's awesome. It feels almost like a game to see how cheap I can get something OR if I can even get it for free. So I keep the coupon ads that come with the Sunday paper and even collect the ones from neighbors and friends who don't use theirs (because multiples are always the best) and I try to get the best deals. Yes, it is a lot of work and I sometimes have to hit multiple stores. But I'm building my food storage and also contributing to the household income by saving money. Who else is with me?

fanny's dream

Children's books are definitely a passion of mine. I could lose myself in the kid's book section at the bookstore any time. The stories are always so much fun and always hide a lesson learned in its pages. I'm thinking I will highlight a book from my collection each week. Sound fun? Great. Here is a favorite. (I guess all are going to be classified as a "favorite"). Fanny Agnes (love that name) lives on a farm, is sturdy and has a big dream: she wants to marry a prince. We can all relate to that, right?! Caralyn is the author while her husband Mark Buehner is the illustrator. He is amazing! The illustrations are very detailed and so fun. PLUS they both attended Utah State University which is a bonus.

snl weekly
Most will agree that Chris Farley is the best. I had a hard time choosing a clip of his for this week's installment of favorite SNL moments. The motivational speaker is classic. I also love when he tries out to be a Chip and Dale dancer. BUT I finally decided on this one. So, so funny.

carrie

So I saw this in the People Style Watch magazine (my sister helps me feed my addiction) and knew I had to order this lipstick/lipglass right away. For starters, I love Carrie Underwood. I think she is so pretty and has an amazing voice. But I have also admired her make-up style and often wondered what it is she wears. I like wearing neutral lipstick tones and since she is a fellow fan of neutral tones, I immediately took note. Plus it is MAC and I love MAC. Cannot wait for it to arrive!!
twilighter
Can I just tell you how excited I am for this movie to come out? So much so that whenever I get a free second, I look on the Stephenie Meyer website or on the internet for different videos about the movie. I've found out I'm not alone. SO many people have visited the Twilight movie set in Oregon. You can find their pictures all over the web. I'm afraid this doesn't make me any less of a nerd though. :)

who knew
I love NPR, the outside of my right quad is permanently numb (nerve damage from having babies) and SNL is the best show ever. I love it so much that I am going to try and post a favorite clip every week. Mike Meyers paved the way in portraying a boy name Philip who is a "hyper-hypo". Amy Poehler follows up by portraying a girl named Kaitlin. She is the best and it is so, so funny.
if i could
If I could sing, I would definitely want to sing like Christina Aguilera. This performance was amazing and I still find myself thinking about it. I would've definitely worn my hair differently. That is the major difference between Christina and I (besides the fact she can totally belt it out). ;)

boot camp

Dan and I signed up at Sports Academy for a boot camp class. We were both a bit iffy at first but then we talked to a few people who had done it before and loved it. We are the only first-timers in the class. It is 3 times a week for an hour and it totally kicks our trash. Both of us are so out of shape. We have found that our minds say we can do it but our bodies completely object. It is perfect in mixing up our regular workout routine. Plus doing it together is the best.

visit
My sister Therese and her two kids are here for a visit from England. They arrived March 25 and then will leave in the next week. It has been so much fun having her here. I have loads of pics to post but haven't found a chunk of time to do so. I will soon though. The cousins have had so much fun getting to know each other. They have become so close, they are showing each other their boogers. Mason came running down the hall saying he needed to blow his nose. After blowing into a tissue, he pulled it away from his face, looked at it and then ran back down the hall saying, "Luca! Big booger!" Hopefully Mason will be over the booger-sharing-thing by the time they leave. Otherwise, I will be the recipient of such booger-sharing-news.
